Message to all Patients

We would like to advise patients that the practice is experiencing a very high level of  patient demand currently.

As you may know we are the COVID vaccination hub site for ourselves and 3 other local practices and since the start of the programme in December 2020 have administered 48,000 COVID vaccines to the local population.  As you will imagine this has been due to the selflessness of the team here at the practice working with their colleagues from other surgeries at weekends in addition to undertaking their usual day jobs.  There has been no additional staffing provided for the vaccine campaign it has all been done by existing teams working additional hours.

We are now all working extremely hard to ensure that the delayed demand from the pandemic for care for other conditions is met and that patients can access the services they require.  We have noted however that some patient’s attitude towards staff is at times rude and we are not willing to tolerate this.

Staff in all teams within the surgery have worked tirelessly for the good of patients through very difficult circumstances and so we would ask that you treat them with the kindness and respect you would wish to be treated with yourselves.  We are working as hard as we can and will continue to do so to best serve our patient population.

Appointments

diary_appointmentTo make an appointment please ring 01562 757377 or ask at the desk.

You can now register for our On-line Booking System please click the link above to Register for this service

Appointments are usually made for 10 minutes and are for one patient only. If you think your problem may take longer, please ask for a double appointment when booking.

In order to help manage the increasing demand for appointments we operate a triage system whereby a qualified Advanced nurse Practitioner talks to a patient initially by phone in order to assess the patients needs. After this has occurred the ANP will decide to either:

  • Invite the patient to attend the surgery to see her.
  • Make an urgent appointment to see a GP that same day.
  • Make an urgent appointment to see a practice nurse  that same day.
  • Make a non-urgent / routine appointment to see a GP when the next routine appointment becomes available.
  • Make a non-urgent / routine appointment to see a practice  nurse when the next routine appointment becomes available.

It is important to note that the advice given will be on the information given by the patient and it is therefore important to ensure that the Advanced Nurse Practitioner is aware of all the facts. If the condition gets worse it is important that you contact the ANP / practice immediately.

Improved Access

From 1 October 2018 in addition to the practice’s normal opening hours, and additional surgery opening times as stated on our website, you can also book an appointment to see a local clinician in the evenings or at the weekend in Kidderminster.

GP practices are working together to provide improved access appointments to our patients.  This means that your improved access appointment may be with a different GP, nurse or based in a different location or practice than you are used to, and some of these appointments are telephone only.

These appointments are pre-bookable by contacting the surgery during our opening times – our receptionists will help you to find a convenient appointment.

Baby Clinics

Our Baby Clinic is on Mondays 2.00-3.00pm - please ring the surgery to book an appointment.  This is no longer a drop-in clinic.

Family Planning Clinic (pill checks/depos/family planning advice)

Wednesday pm - please ring the surgery to book an appointment.  This is no longer a drop-in clinic.

Missed Appointments
