Patient Access Emails

We have received reports from both Patient Access users and people who have never registered for the service, that they have received Covid passport emails purporting to be from Patient Access.
We would like to share the following guidance from Patient Access for your information, and for you to share with your patients where appropriate.
We advise users of Patient Access to check the name and email address of the sender, all emails from Patient Access will come via an email address that ends in @patientaccess.com. We advise users never to click on any log in links that you receive via email but to visit the site via the address bar of your browser instead so that you know you are on the genuine Patient Access log in page. We strongly advise users to set up their Memorable Word security feature, as well as using biometrics (fingerprint ID) if they use the app.
Email addresses used to register for Patient Access account are secure. We do not share any data and no data is ever saved or stored on any device you use to access Patient Access.
Message to all Patients
We would like to advise patients that the practice is experiencing a very high level of patient demand currently.
As you may know we are the COVID vaccination hub site for ourselves and 3 other local practices and since the start of the programme in December 2020 have administered 48,000 COVID vaccines to the local population. As you will imagine this has been due to the selflessness of the team here at the practice working with their colleagues from other surgeries at weekends in addition to undertaking their usual day jobs. There has been no additional staffing provided for the vaccine campaign it has all been done by existing teams working additional hours.
We are now all working extremely hard to ensure that the delayed demand from the pandemic for care for other conditions is met and that patients can access the services they require. We have noted however that some patient’s attitude towards staff is at times rude and we are not willing to tolerate this.
Staff in all teams within the surgery have worked tirelessly for the good of patients through very difficult circumstances and so we would ask that you treat them with the kindness and respect you would wish to be treated with yourselves. We are working as hard as we can and will continue to do so to best serve our patient population.
Prescription Request Update - 19.07.21
From 1st August 2021 we can no longer guarantee that urgent prescription requests will be processed the same day.
Routine prescriptions usually take 48 hours to process. Please order when you have at least 7 days of medication left.
We are experiencing a high volume of calls from patients enquiring about COVID vaccinations - please do not call the surgery but await us to contact you.
