From 1st August 2021 we can no longer guarantee that urgent prescription requests will be processed the same day.
Routine prescriptions usually take 48 hours to process. Please order when you have at least 7 days of medication left.

We are now able to offer direct access appointments with a First Contact Physiotherapist – please see the information on our Home page or ask Reception for more details.
Please note there are currently no appointments available to book online - all appointments should be booked through the Reception Team at the Surgery.
If you have an appointment at the Surgery you will need to wear a face covering from Friday 24 July 2020.
From 3 August 2020 there will only be one baby clinic a week on a Monday.
There will be 2 doctors who will have BOOKED appointments, there will no longer be a walk in clinic.

BEWARE OF SCAMMERS
There is heightened coverage around the recent Coronavirus outbreak around the world, which is now severely impacting on the UK and the NHS.
Unfortunately fraudsters are targeting these circumstances to take advantage of public fear and concern
We have been made aware that our patients are receiving phone calls, texts and letters from fraudsters. They will try and obtain your personal details and in particular your NHS number.
Scammers are sophisticated, opportunistic and will try many ways to get the information they want. They often target the vulnerable.
If you are suspicious, do not give any details over the phone, hang up and then ring your GP Practice to confirm.
Important information about the coronavirus (COVID-19)
The NHS across Worcestershire and Herefordshire will be better prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases, if the public follows Public Health England advice.
The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff which may mean your patient experience is subject to change.
The Chief Medical Officer announced on Friday 13 March that the country is moving into the ‘Delay’ stage of the response to coronavirus (Covid-19).
The new advice issued by the Chief Medical Officer is to stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
• a high temperature or
• a new continuous cough
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or a hospital. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.
Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:
• you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
• your condition gets worse
• your symptoms do not get better after 7 days
Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.

Everyone is being reminded to follow Public Health England advice to:
• Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

We are being inundated with repeat medication requests. Please do not order your medication before it is due as it will not be processed. In order to prevent stockpiling we will not issue larger quantities. You may order when you have 2 weeks supply left. We aim to process all prescription requests within 72 hours. It may take an additional couple of days for your pharmacy to process prescriptions, so we recommend you allow 5 days before collecting your medication. Dementia Wellbeing Information Sessions Cancelled until further notice
Currently the practice offers online access to patient records, this access is to summary and coded records only. We do not at the moment offer full access to all hospital letters or consultations online, this is because the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 state that access cannot be granted to information that names others or contains information that a Dr believes may cause the patient or another person harm or distress. Due to the administrative burden required to check every letter or consultation prior to making a record fully available online, the practice have decided to limit access to information that patients need to manage their own healthcare.

From 1 October 2018 in addition to the practice’s normal opening hours, and additional surgery opening times as stated on our website, you can also book an appointment to see a local clinician in the evenings or at the weekend in Kidderminster.
GP practices are working together to provide improved access appointments to our patients. This means that your improved access appointment may be with a different GP, nurse or based in a different location or practice than you are used to, and some of these appointments are telephone only.
These appointments are pre-bookable by contacting the surgery during our opening times – our receptionists will help you to find a convenient appointment.

The Worcestershire Walking Network is a partnership funded by Worcestershire County Council Department of Adult Services and Health and delivered by the Countryside Service. It acts to raise awareness of the benefits of walking and local walking for health schemes to increase participation in active recreation and physical activity.
